Ice Dance Trophy 2017

Interclub Figure Skating Competition for Ice Dance

GENERAL REGULATIONS

Ice Dance Trophy 2017 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations for Figure Skating as well as all pertinent ISU Communications for Figure Skating and the classification of the Estonian Skating Union for season 2017/2018. The results will be calculated according to latest ISU regulations.

Place: Main Arena at Škoda Ice Rink; Haabersti 3, Tallinn, Estonia (an indoor ice-rink with the ice surface of 30 x 60 m, air-conditioned and heated)


Basic Novice Ice Dance

According to latest ISU rules and communications (ISU communications 1886, 1932, 1936, 1937), and younger 2 pattern dances:
Fourteen Step
European waltz
Free dance 2 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.

 

Advanced Novice

According to latest ISU rules and communications (ISU communications 1886, 1932, 1936, 1937) 2 pattern dances:
1. Tango; European Waltz;
2. Rockerfoxtrot; Starlight waltz.
Pattern dances will be announced two weeks before competition.
Free dance 3 min., +/- 10 sec.

 

Junior

In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Ice Dance 2016, Rule 709. Rhythms, required elements and guidelines are those listed in ISU Communications 1998, 2003 and subsequent updates.
Short Dance 2:50 min., +/- 10 sec.
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Ice Dance 2016, Rule 710. The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Communication 1998, 2003 and subsequent updates.
Free dance 3 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.

 

Senior

In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Ice Dance 2016, Rule 709. Rhythms, required elements and guidelines are those listed in ISU Communications 1998, 2003 and subsequent updates.
Short Dance 2:50 min., +/- 10 sec.
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Ice Dance 2016, Rule 710. The required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Communication 1998, 2003 and subsequent updates.
Free dance 4 min., +/- 10 sec.

ENTRIES
All ISU-Members and Clubs, National Figure Skating Federations associated with ISU are invited to the competition in any category and class. However, the Organizer shall have the right to limit the number of skaters from the invited clubs, and split categories if the number of participants requires that. Entries must be submitted in a written form and must contain the kind of event, competitor’s full name and date of birth. For participating, please fill in the enclosed entry form and return it to the following e-mail address: idtentry@juna.ee

Planned program contents have to be sent by September 26 st, 2017. Program contents received later will be not accepted. Please send the planned program contents to following e-mail address: idtppc@juna.ee

ENTRY FEE
Each club has to pay for its participants 50 % of the total amount right after the entry form confirmation, by October 1, 2017. The remaining amount has to be paid at the accreditation before the competition in cash only. Organizer will not return entry fees. You can change one ice dance pair for another in any category if 50% is paid already.

90.- EUR per Ice Dance pair

Any changes in entry form has to be made at least 24 hours before the drawing. The entire club will not take part in draw in a case of not paid entry fees. Payment must be made to:

DRAW
An electronic draw will take place on October 12 th, 2017. Starting orders will be published on competition official website: idt.juna.ee

MUSIC
Music must be recorded on mp3 on CDs or USB Memory Flash Drive and submitted at the time of accreditation. The music medias must be of good quality and labeled clearly with the Competitor's name, Nation, category and the exact music time. Each program must be recorded on a separate disc or USB Memory Flash Drive.

AWARDING
The three best-placed competitors in each event will be awarded with a trophy. All competitors will receive a diploma.

JUDGES
Each participating Club may nominate one, at least international level judge or member of a Technical Panel before 15 of September. List of the judges and technical panel members will be confirmed by organizer by 22 of September.
The organizer will cover the accommodation and meals. Transportation will be not covered by the organizer.

EXPENCES
All participants and teams must pay the accommodation and transportation themselves.

LIABILITY
According to the ISU Rule 119, the Organizer accepts no liability for bodily or personal injury, or for property lost or damage incurred by any Competitors or any kind of Officials.

THE CODE OF ETHICS
All the skaters, coaches, judges, chaperons should follow the ISU com. 1433. Action against this rule conducts behind itself the disqualification of skater.

PROTESTS
Each team has the right to submit protest against the judge’s decision. Protests must be submitted to the Referee of the relevant event at the latest immediately after the event. Upon the submission of the protest a protest fee of 50 EUR must be paid. The referee’s decision is final. In the new ISU Judging Systems no protests can be filed against the judges (see Rule 123), but against the right determination of the executed element or any calculation error. In the ISU Judging System protest can be summited in 24 hours after subsegment (e.g. Short Program) and before the awarding ceremony after the final segment (e.g. Free Skating). Protest must be done in a written form to the referee of the relevant segment. Please read ISU Rule 123.
